why hasnt sega brought out new game consols like playstation and xbox?

i cant even remember the latest sega, the last time i played on one of thoose i was 5 years old.
do you think there waiting for a while until playstation and xbox have run out of ideas, then there guna bring something 1000 times better. that would be cool XD Lool.

Sega couldn’t compete with Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, so in 2001 they decided to stop making video game consoles, and become a video game software manufacturer and publisher. Their last console was Dreamcast. Sega continued to make games for Dreamcast until 2004. Third-party companies in Japan made more and more licensed Dreamcast games until 2007. There are also some third party non-licensed Dreamcast games, the most recent was released in 2009.

Sega did not stop making hardware. In 2005, the made Advanced Pico Beena, an educational device for children. In 2009, they made Sega Vision, a portable media player that can also run simple games. Sega’s old systems were very nice. I had most of them. I think they were very underrated. Until now, I keep discovering awesome games on Sega’s consoles that very few people heard about.
