New Xbox 360 Kinect Ready

Its about the new and old Xbox 360, why does the new one say ready for Kinect, when it comes out cant it run?

When Kinect comes out cant i run it on my old xbox or do i need to pay extra or something ?

when it says ‘ready for kinect’ on the new xbox, it just means it has a special port so you can plug it in and play straight away.
however if you have the old xbox, you can still use kinect, you just have to connect the adapter and power lead that comes with it into the mains, whereas the special port on the new one means you can run kinect off the new 360 without having to plug in the power lead seperatly
