New Xbox slim more quiet? Is it worth it in the long-run?

Is the sound/noise a big difference from the older 360? (noise when xbox reading disc? like Forza 3–really loud) Anybody know if kinnect is going to require a new xbox slim or is it just going to be an accessory you just buy separately?

don’t get the slim man keep your elite. the slim still gets red ring + it now has the red dot of death and it overheats horribly keep it on for about 2 minutes then put your hand on the fan and it’s not quieter at all it’s actually louder. it’s not worth it in the long run at all especially for 300 bucks they didn’t fix anything.
