is it safe to buy PS3 ps store games by a an american account though i live in india?

First, I made PSN id with country India. But PS Store was not available in my country. So I made an American One and I know can use PS Store. I have some demos and now i went in the Games and I saw the games. the price is very less and it has some games that i always wanted to play but they were not available in india. So is it safe to buy games? If yes then how to buy?

I have bought games off the Japanese PS store and have friends that have bought games off the Chinese store and we all live in the US. Given that fact I see no reason why you would have trouble buying games from the US store in India.
